The City of Chanute is now accepting applications for the position of Chief Mechanic/Mechanic. Hourly salary range $23.21-$26.13. Excellent benefit package. Successful applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED with trade school course in vehicular mechanical repairs. Must have considerable experience in the servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicular equipment or any combination of training & experience which provides the required knowledge, ability and skill. Must have at least two years experience in vehicular mechanical repairs and possess a valid Kansas Class B CDL air brakes and tanker Kansas drivers license.
