Quality Engineer



  • Working directly with Quality Assurance Manager and Quality department personnel.

  • Maintains Quality Matrix Boards when needed.

  • Is trained in the Ultra Clean process and ensures Quality personnel are following process.

  • Performs Internal Audits.

  • Trains internal employees to perform internal audits.

  • Reviews Prime customer specifications and writes Work Order Codes.

  • Assists in Overseeing Operator Verification Procedure to ensure compliance.

  • Actively participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions.

  • Helps to implement new procedures and processes in the Quality Department.

  • Actively participates in the inspection functions in times of heavy workload or personnel shortages.

  • Participates in daily disposition of non-conforming products

  • Analysis and disposition of non-conforming products returned from customers.

  • Coordinates communications between inspection personnel and shop personnel by clarifying production requirements and customer purchase order requirements.

  • Identifies equipment, training, and service needs and forwards them to the Quality Assurance Manager.

  • Reports all trend data to Quality Assurance Management.

  • Documents and enforces company policies.

  • Maintain good housekeeping in the office and inspection areas.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements, and enforce compliance.?

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

  • Handles customer supplied product with care.

  • Maintain and reinforce ORIZON?s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Manages time appropriately so that production, quality and delivery schedules are met.

  • Interacts professionally with co-workers and vendors, understands internal customers, and strives to maintain good relations with others.

  • Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed.

  • Embraces change to ensure overall success of the company.



  • Is capable of performing all inspector duties.

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent?required plus 5 years? Quality Engineering experience.

  • Must have ability to read and comprehend American English.

  • Must have ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawing, mylars and sketches as applicable to work being performed at ORIZON

  • Must become proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the ORIZON Quality System on Syteline

  • Must exhibit professionalism when dealing with subordinates and superiors.

  • Must exhibit ability to troubleshoot and correct problems using problem-solving skills.

  • Must have ability to follow written and verbal directions.

  • Must have ability to apply basic math skills.

  • Must exhibit interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must exhibit attention to detail.

  • Must have ability to handle stressful situations

  • Must be cost consciousness when dealing with purchasing issues.

  • Must be honest and ethical in all actions.

  • Must have Motivational skills

  • Presentation skills desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
